Military Veteran Fishing: Sunset & Full Moon

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes military veterans to fish from kayaks and enjoy the sunset and full moon on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Usina Boat Ramp in Vilano Beach.

This hands-on event provides veterans, guided by knowledgeable staff, the opportunity to fish in a supportive and relaxed environment. The evening adventure is timed to include the sunset and the rise of the full moon. 

You must have a valid, shore saltwater license for this class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear; however, equipment can be provided if needed.
