Military Veteran Kayaking - Durbin Creek

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department offers a guided kayak tour on Durbin Creek for military veterans and first responders on Thursday, December 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

The Parks and Recreation Department, with the assistance of the VA, developed these inclusive kayak trips exclusively for military veterans and current and former first responders. These adventures, paddling along the county's rivers and through creeks and marshes, help participants build confidence and connect with others who understand the challenges and rewards that come with serving our communities and our country.

This free event offers a chance to explore the Durbin Creek ecosystem and learn about the local flora and fauna. Glide through tranquil waters, surrounded by diverse scenery as knowledgeable guides share insights on Florida's nature and history.

Admission: Free and open to military veterans and current and former first responders. Register online to secure a spot. (See below for registration details.)

When: Thursday, December 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Where: The Durbin Creek Kayak Launch, 155 Bartram Market Drive, St. Johns, FL 32259. The launch area is west of Publix.
