With a mission to "make king fishing great again," the Old School Kingfish Shootout is the weekend of June 13, 2026, with a captain's meeting on Friday evening and the awards party on Sunday morning. The actual fishing tournament goes from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Fish from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and weigh-in from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Vilano Beach Pier.

Except for the dates, the following information is from 2025. We will update this when more information becomes available.

Registration: The entry fee is $250.00 through May 31, 2025, $350.00 through June 12, 2025, and $400.00 on June 13, 2025.

When: The tournament will begin with a captain's meeting at 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026. The tournament itself is on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Where: The captain's meeting and awards ceremony will be held at the St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Company, located at 160 Boat Nix Road, St. Augustine, Florida. The weigh-in will be held at the Vilano Beach Pier.
