With a mission to "make king fishing great again," the Old School Kingfish Shootout begins with a captain's meeting on Friday, June 12, 2026, and concludes with an awards party on Sunday morning. Both of those events are at Ancient City Farmstead, 395 St Marks Pond Blvd, St. Augustine, Florida. The actual fishing tournament is on the Vilano Bridge Pier, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Weigh-in is from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Vilano Beach Pier, also on the 13th.
The Tournament
- This event has limited boundaries, in state waters (3 nautical miles from shore), from St. Simons Island to New Smyrna Beach.
- Live bait penning or purchasing is not permitted.
- Prizes
- Cash payout to 25 places.
- Prizes for lady anglers and jr. anglers
- First place wins a 21-foot Yellowfin Bay Boat, with a 200HP 4-Stroke outboard, and trailer.
Event Details
Registration: The entry fee is $250.00 through May 31, 2026, $350.00 through June 11, 2026, and $400.00 on June 12, 2026. Register in advance, online.
When: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026.
