Old School Kingfish Shootout 2024

With a mission to "make king fishing great again," the Old School Kingfish Shootout is held each year, with the weigh-in at the Vilano Beach Pier, located at 260 Vilano Road in St. Augustine, FL 32084 (by sea, that's approximately 29.916467, -81.299484.)

This year, the Captain's Meeting on Friday, June 7 at 4:00 p.m., and the Awards Ceremony, on Sunday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m., will take place at the St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Company, 160 Boat Nix Road, St. Augustine, Florida.

Saturday is all about the fishing and captains will be required to fish between the northern boundary of Fernandina Inlet, and the southern boundary of Ponce Inlet — going no more than three miles from shore. Weigh-in will be at the Vilano Beach Pier.

An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Company. Cash prizes will be awarded and the overall winner will receive a Yellowfin 21′ Bay Boat with a 200 HP 4-Stroke Outboard Engine and an AmeraTrail Trailer, valued at $110,000.

Registration: The entry fee is $250 through May 31, 2024; $350 through June 6, and $400 on June 7, 2024.
