Fishbites hosts the Pomp'in for Parkinson's Fishing Tournament on Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11, 2026. This on-shore fishing tournament raises funds for REBLOOM Center, which provides support and wellness programs for those with Parkinson's.

The captains' meeting and final chance to register for the tournament takes place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Fishbites Trading Post in St. Augustine, where they go over a few rules, start a raffle for the weekend, and introduce Rick Genest, who inspired this tournament.

You can start fishing at first light on April 11, and weigh-in is from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. that afternoon. You must fish from shore, a dock, or the surf; you cannot use a boat for this tournament. The tournament boundaries are from Brevard County to Nassau County, including St. Johns, Flagler, and Duval counties. This inshore fishing tournament targets pompano and whiting. There are cash prizes for the winners in the youth and adult categories with the highest three-fish aggregate. See their website for more information and to register.
