On Sunday, August 14, 2016, artist Moliere DiManche will exhibit his drawings at DOS Coffee and Wine. DiManche's drawings document his experiences in several institutions in the Florida Department of Corrections, where he was an inmate for eight and a half years.

During his time in the prison system, DiManche worked to help other inmates defend their cases, stating that, "Half the time, inmates were too illiterate to address situations through the courts or a grievance process... I learned a lot of crazy things about the internal system." He hopes to bring these issues to light through his work, and says that the exhibition precedes a book he is writing to share more about his experiences.

DiManche will be available to answer questions and discuss his work throughout the exhibition.

Admission: FREE

When: Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Where: DOS Coffee and Wine is located at 300 San Marco Avenue in St. Augustine, Florida.
