The Saint Augustine Maritime Heritage Foundation will host their 2nd Annual Pig Roast at the Fountain of Youth on Thursday, May 15, 2014. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Maritime Heritage Education program, and tickets are limited to the first 120 people.

The roasted pigs will be prepared in a traditional way: where the pig is hand turned, driven by a wheel, and placed above hot coals. The main course will constantly be in preparation throughout the day in the Heritage Foundation's boatyard.

The additional menu includes pulled pork, Spanish boneless chicken breast, yellow rice with pigeon peas, black beans, fried plantains, grilled squash with chorizo, and a mixed green salad. Lemon scented flan will be offered as dessert, and the event will provide beer and wine for those of age.

Where? The Fountain of Youth Archeological Park located at 11 Magnolia Avenue St. Augustine, FL 32084.

When? Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
