First Coast Air Potato Round-Up is going into its 8th annual year! This event involves volunteers from the community who wish to help ride the local natural areas of the invasive, air potato plant species. Removing this vine will help preserve the natural diversity of the natural Florida wildlife.

Visitors, environmentalists, nature enthusiasts, and the public can come out to historic Fort Mose to participate in this annual event. The air potato plant is harmful to the conservation lands and friends and family can come out to lend a picking hand! Many Northeast Florida conservation sites are participating in this event, for the full list including Jacksonville sites please Click Here.

Participation Requirements: Volunteers will need to bring gloves, wear long pants, comfortable shoes and be prepared to get dirty. Water, trash bags, and bugspray will be provided. Also, prizes will be awarded for the two largest potatoes found!
