On July 27, 2014, Ancient City Poets will host an afternoon of poetry at two different locations in St. Augustine. The evening will consist of two events for participants, including the Plant a Poem Workshop, and St. Augustine Speaks.
The Plant a Poem Workshop will last for one hour and allow guests to create and write their own poetry. Participants should register at the door by 1:45 p.m. There is a $10 cover charge to supply endless coffee and snacks. Poems will be drafted out of an image from the show Heroes.
St. Augustine Speaks will take place at City Coffee Company, featuring a wide array of spoken word from St. Augustine locals. These readings are held on the last Sunday of each month.
