The St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes folk rock and soft rock legend James Taylor for a live concert on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22 and 23, 2026. Both performances begin at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Celebrated worldwide for timeless hits such as “Fire and Rain,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Carolina in My Mind,” “Mexico,” and “Sweet Baby James,” James Taylor is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and six-time Grammy Award–winning artist. His music spans generations and continues to resonate with audiences today, earning him more than 4.9 million listeners across Spotify and other streaming platforms.

Born in Massachusetts, Taylor began his musical journey at a young age, first studying the cello before transitioning to guitar in 1960. His career reached new heights with the release of Sweet Baby James, which sold more than three million copies nationwide. In 2003, the album was recognized on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Over the years, Taylor has appeared on The Johnny Cash Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and more. He has also performed at renowned events such as the Newport Folk Festival and Rock in Rio, further cementing his legacy as one of music’s most enduring artists.

Local Box Office: If you're in town, you can purchase tickets for St. Augustine Amphitheatre shows at their box office on Anastasia Island. The box office is open daily, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, 1340 A1A South in St. Augustine, Florida 32080. As of August 1, 2025, the box office at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, at 1050 A1A North Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and sells tickets to performances at both venues. AXS is the ticketing partner for Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. You can purchase tickets online at AXS.com.

Parking Information

There is very limited on-site parking, and parking in the surrounding neighborhoods is prohibited. Concertgoers are advised to arrive at least one hour early to all events and concerts if they want to park on-site. Two free satellite parking areas are also available nearby: 

Shuttle Information

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre shuttle system begins its run 45 minutes before show time. The shuttle will pick up event patrons at four designated shuttle stops: the R.B. Hunt Elementary School Soccer Field, the west entrance of the Anastasia State Park Main Parking Lot, the Loop at the Anastasia State Park, and the entrance of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Shuttles will run continuously until approximately 45 minutes after the scheduled start time of a concert. If anyone wants to leave before the end of a show, shuttles will begin taking people back to the satellite parking areas one hour before the event is over. The driver will not depart from the Amphitheatre until the shuttle is more than 50% full.
