Poetry flows from the Waterworks Building venue as the Ancient City Poets (a local poetry coalition in St Augustine) take the stage in celebration of National Pride Month. Members of the LGBT community and their allies — whether they are visitors or St. Augustine — are all invited. Poets will share their original works through live performance, with poems spanning a variety of topics. Whether the poetry focuses on Queer experiences or not, everyone is welcome.

Guests who plan to share their poetry are encouraged to arrive at 2:30 p.m. to sign up. At 3:00 p.m., facilitator Valerie Currie will call the readers to the podium by in the order their names appear on the sign-up sheet.

Admission: Free and open to all members of the public.

When: Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reading starts at 3:00 p.m.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks. While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)
