Art House Presents a Beginner's Wheel Throwing Series

The Art House presents a four-week beginner's class as part of their Wheel Throwing Series on Tuesdays, May 26 through June 16, 2026, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

This interactive workshop teaches you the basic steps and techniques of shaping, glazing, and finishing a clay wheel. An instructor also guides the class and provides demonstrations. The series is broken down into different segments:

• Week 1 & 2 - Throwing on the wheel, such as finding the center, pulling walls, and shaping forms
• Week 3 - Trimming, refining, and cleaning the pieces
• Week 4 - Glazing by enhancing with color and food-safe glaze

Two hours of free studio time are offered to practice your skills—materials and firings are included.

Note: No clay experience is needed to participate.
