Lighthouse Illuminations: Tides, Tidings, and Trees

The St. Augustine Lighthouse offers a holiday tour during the Nights of Lights season, Lighthouse Illuminations: Tides, Tidings, & Trees. The lighthouse is open after dark on select evenings from November 21, 2025, through January 10, 2026, with tours starting at 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30 p.m. You purchase tickets that specify a start time, and are encouraged to enjoy the special exhibits until the event closes at 9:00 p.m.

This special tour gives every visitor at least 90 minutes to explore the keeper's house and grounds, taking in the holiday lights, garland, and 21 beautifully and uniquely decorated trees. The highlight of the evening is the opportunity to climb the tower to view St. Augustine's Nights of Lights display across the river. 

In 2024, the themed trees include vintage toys, one celebrating Old Florida, one covered in sweet treats, and a special tree featuring lighthouses of America.

This is a lovely family-friendly event. You will find several seasonal backgrounds for family photos to include in your holiday letter. Please remember that only those who are at least 44 inches tall may climb the lighthouse. There is much for the smaller children to enjoy at ground level.

Admission: $26.95 for adults and teens, $24.95 for seniors, and $22.95 for children 12 and younger. NOTE: Only those at least 44 inches tall may climb the lighthouse.
