Ladybug Race, Workshops, and Dinner—With SSCA
(904) 829-0648The third annual Ladybug Race offers information and fun for cruisers and sailors at every level. St. Augustine Sailing, the founder of the Ladybug event weekend, has joined with the Seven Seas Cruising Association (SSCA) to offer workshops suitable for weekend and vacation liveaboards, and for cruising sail and powerboats.
Ladybug Race and Workshops
St. Augustine Sailing with Seven Seas Cruising Association presents the Ladybug Event, on Friday through Sunday, March 6 through March 9, 2026, at Camachee Yacht Harbor on the docks and in the Marlin Club House. One registration fee of $100.00 enables you to participate in most activities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, including the workshops and the cocktail hour on March 7. The awards dinner on March 8 requires an additional ticket for $60.00.
Seminars and Workshops
The seminars and an in-the-water boat show take place in multiple locations throughout the property, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m on Sunday. Because space is limited, you must register for the seminars you want to attend. Seven Seas Cruising seminars include First Aid at Sea, Communications and Connectivity, and Weather for Snowbird Cruisers. Other workshops include medical preparedness at sea, line handling and eye splicing basics, and a cooking demonstration. There are workshops for cruising boaters at every level, offering information on diesel engines, lithium batteries, sail trim, marine insurance, and Intracoastal Waterway routes and charts.
On Sunday, the seminars include sailboat rigging fundamentals, cruising in Florida and the Southeast United States, and learning about SSCA and the resources they provide to sailing and power cruisers.
Ladybug Race and Awards Dinner
The Ladybug Race on Sunday is a one-design race, featuring a fleet of Jeanneau 35' sailboats. This inshore race takes place on the Tolomato River. If you don't want to race, you can purchase a ticket to ride aboard the committee boat or on a spectator boat from St. Augustine Sailing's fleet. Tickets for viewing the race on the water start at $49.00 per person. Get tickets to view the race from the water online. The Awards Dinner is Sunday, March 8, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Purchase tickets for the dinner here.
