The Lightner Museum presents A Moment in Time: America 250, from Thursday, March 20, through Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
The Lightner Museum and the First Coast Plein Air Painters join to celebrate Florida's role in America's history by presenting these works painted in Northeast Florida. This region has long been a favorite destination for artists, beginning with the naturalists and adventurers, such as William Bartram, who traveled along Florida's rivers and painted the exotic flora and fauna they found here. This exhibition of contemporary works celebrates Northeast Florida's natural beauty, architecture, and landscapes.
This juried exhibit of paintings by members of the First Coast Plein Air Painters celebrates that legacy and captures the beauty of the Florida we see today.
Admission: $19.00 for adults; $16.00 for college students, seniors, and military; $12.00 for St. Johns County residents and youth aged 12-17; free for children 11 and younger.
