On Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., join local artist Erinh Hellman for a Watercolor Workshop at the Lightner Museum.

Join a limited group of 15 at the Lightner after hours for an inspiring evening. The museum provides watercolor supplies. You may bring additional supplies you want, and you should bring a sketchbook.

Artist Erin Hellman leads the workshop, keeping things casual and fun as she discusses and demonstrates basic watercolor techniques, such as brushwork, layering, and color blending. Both beginners and experienced artists can enjoy and learn at this workshop, creating a finished piece depicting shells in watercolor.

The museum offers light refreshments during the break. You may only bring water in a closed bottle into the museum.

About Erin Hellman

Hellman taught art in classrooms in her native Baltimore and in Costa Rica before moving to Florida. She believes watercolor is the easiest medium to learn and simple to use when traveling. The shore, ocean, and marine life are her favorite subjects, and her paintings often include intricate mandala line work to reflect the repetition found in nature.
