Limelight Theatre presents "Popcorn Falls" a comedy written in 2017, that sets out to prove art can change the world.

  • Limelight Theatre presents Popcorn Falls on April 8 through April 25, 2021.

    This charming comedy focuses on small-town politics and was first performed in 2017. It's an ambitious and fun play to present as the characters include nearly all of the residents of the small town of Popcorn Falls, while the cast consists of just two men, Actor 1 and Actor 2. These two actors bring over 20 roles to life, including the mayor, a high school girl, and a cat-lady/Librarian — with no costume changes and only a few props. Together, the the town's inhabitants work to try to save Popcorn Falls from being sold and tuned into a sewage treatment plant.

    Admission: $27.00 per person for regular admission tickets, $25.00 for Seniors, $22.00 for Students and Military. One child under 12 free with purchase of one full-price ticket. Tickets cost $17.00 on the first Thursday of each production (Preview Night) and on Tuesday Nights (Terrific Tuesdays)

    When: From April 8 through April 25, 2021, at 7:30 on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

    Where: 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. There is parking in the lot off Bernard Street.
