Limelight Theatre: The Music Man

To start their 32nd season, Limelight Theatre presents, The Music Man, a classic musical featuring a con man instrument salesman, a small town, and the town's librarian.

Written by Meredith Wilson, the play debuted on Broadway in 1957, won five Tony Awards, and ran for 1375 performances. Wilson wrote the book, music, and lyrics, penning songs that are still known today, such as "76 Trombones," "Ya Got Trouble," and the love song, "Till There Was You."

Performed frequently by schools, and smaller theaters, The Music Man has had two Broadway revivals, one in 2000 and another in 2022, with Hugh Jackman in the lead role of Professor Harold Hill. 

Admission:  Tickets are $30.00 for all who attend. Preview night and Terrific Tuesday tickets are $20.00. Student "Rush Tickets" are $10.00, when available, 30 minutes before curtain. The box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and tickets may be purchased online here.   

When: The play runs Thursdays through Sundays, from Thursday, September 28 through Sunday, October 22. Sunday shows are at 2:00 p.m. All other shows are at 7:30 p.m. Preview night is Thursday, September 28, at 7:30 p.m., and Terrific Tuesday is on October 10, 2023
