Limelight Theatre: Our Town

Limelight Theatre presents the iconic play, Our Town, from Thursday, October 23, through Sunday, November 9, 2025. The Sunday shows begin at 2:00 p.m.; all the other shows start at 7:30 p.m.

Written and published by Thornton Wilder in 1938, the play takes place on a minimal stage depicting the small New Hampshire town of Grover's Corners during the early years of the 20th century—before WWI and the Great Depression. With narration by a character called the "Stage Manager," Our Town explores the themes of small town living, finding joy in the little things, death, and love.

Playwright, Edward Albee called Our Town, "The greatest play ever written." Wilder received the Pulitzer Prize for drama for this play. It has been produced on Broadway several times since 1938, often with a cast of A-list actors. Henry Fonda, Spaulding Grey, Paul Newman, and Jim Parsons have all taken on the role of the Stage Manager.

Admission:

• General admission tickets are $35.00. Seniors 62 and older are $33.00. Active members of the military and current students are $30.00 with ID.
• Special Deal tickets for the first Thursday of each production (Preview Night, October 23) and on one Tuesday (Terrific Tuesday, November 4) are $25.00.
• Student "Rush Tickets" are $15.00, when available, 60 minutes before the curtain.
• Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., or you can purchase tickets online.

When: On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from Thursday, October 23 through Sunday, November 9. Sunday shows are matinees and start at 2:00 p.m. The performances on all other days begin at 7:30 p.m. Preview Thursday is May 8, and Terrific Tuesday is May 20.
