(904) 209-0333 St. Johns County parks and recreation offers veterans a lesson in catch and release techniques at Vaill Point Park on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Activities consist of hands-on experience on how and when to use various bait options along with an opportunity to go fishing. While everyone is encouraged to bring their own equipment, gear will be provided to anyone who needs them.
Requirements include a valid shoreline saltwater fishing license or fall under the exempt criteria, which is determined by the FWC. Please find more information on the license here.
Admission: The event is free but is only open only to U.S. Military Veterans. The number of participants is limited and reservations are required.
