The St. Johns County Parks & Recreation Department hosts a Sunset Paddleboard Fishing event at Salt Run, on Anastasia Island, on March 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

You will launch the paddleboards from the ramp at Lighthouse Park. Experienced St. Johns County naturalists lead this trip, which is suitable for experienced anglers and novices. In addition to fishing tips, you'll learn about the marine life that feeds and breeds in Salt Run. 

The Details

Admission: Register online to secure a spot in this event. See the fees below. In addition, you must have a valid shore saltwater fishing license if you don't meet the criteria for exemption. To learn more about a saltwater fishing license, go here.

  • SJC resident with their own board: $20.00 per person
  • Non-SJC resident with their own board: $30.00 per person
  • SJC County resident using a county board: $40.00 per person
  • Non-SJC resident using a county board: $50.00 per person

Age Requirements: 12 and older.

When: Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
