  • Local poets, artists and musicians will collaborate on one-of-a-kind art installations in the inaugural PAM (poets, artists and musicians) Jam PVB Nov. 1-30, 2021, at the Ponte Vedra Beach Library.

In the beginning stages of the creation process, a visual artist is paired with a poet to create a story through words and visual art in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture and pottery. When the story takes shape, musicians write music to pull the whole package together. After all three components are ready, the collaborators create a video showcasing the story package.

At the Ponte Vedra Beach PAM Jam showcase, the visual art installation will be on display along with the poem and a QR code for patrons to access the video on their smartphone or tablet.

PAM Jam PVB will feature poets from A Gathering of Poets group at the Ponte Vedra Beach Library paired with artists from the Cultural Center of Ponte Vedra Beach. Both groups include participants from Women Writing for (a) Change and local musicians.

A PAM Jam PVB event reception is planned for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
