Please Note: This event is from 2015

Paseo Pastel, or the St. Augustine Chalk Walk, is a St. Augustine 450th Signature Event that celebrates the city's Spanish history and culture with art and live music. Paseo Pastel is a Spanish custom of taking a casual walk or stroll along the sidewalk. This annual event will feature artists' street creations and will allow visitors to "stroll" along the historic downtown area of St. Augustine to admire the chalk artwork.

Featuring "career chalk artists," this annual event will be held on the sidewalks in between the City Parking Garage and the Visitor Information Center. This national and international event will include over 70 artists competing for a cash prize.

The artists will create drawings on 4x6 sidewalk areas celebrating the theme of "Happy Birthday St Augustine 450th!" Career Chalk Artists, Art Educators, College and High School Students will turn the city's sidewalks into a gallery of chalk art. Visitors are invited from all over the world to enjoy the amazing chalk drawings as they stroll along the sidewalk. Visitors are also encouraged to participate in this annual event.

Featured Artist & Master, Carolyn Shultz is a member of the Florida Chalk Art Association and participates in street painting at festivals across the United States as well as internationally. Shultz has been awarded the esteemed designation of "Maestro Madonnari" which means Master Street Painter. She has demonstrated her talents at numerous festivals and has been a featured artist at several events.
