Pecha Kucha Night: Turn the Page

NOTE: Pecha Kucha will be held in the pit area of the AMP tonight, because of the weather. So good news: It's covered. Mixed news: You cannot bring your chairs. The AMO will have theirs set out.

The St. Augustine Chapter of Pecha Kucha presents seven speakers and a "Turn the Page" theme on Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Backyard Stage of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The speakers and audience are invited to gather at 6:00 p.m. to purchase food and beverages and mingle. The presentations begin at 7:00 p.m.

The St. Augustine Chapter of Pecha Kucha has presented programs in the nation's oldest city for more than 10 years. There are more than 900 Pecha Kucha chapters worldwide, including many U.S. cities. During PK events, pre-selected presenters discuss their thoughts on the evening's theme, showing 20 slides and speaking about each one for 20 seconds before moving on to the next. This 20X20 format allows each presenter six minutes and 40 seconds to present. At any Pecha Kucha Night, the audience can expect to learn something, laugh, feel empathy, and be surprised.

On March 1, seven people discuss turning points in their lives, including stories about Sunset Boulevard, the joy that comes from being true to self, and several other life changing personal moments.

Admission: A donation of $10.00 is requested to help fund these events.

When: Friday, March 1, 2024. The event begins with a gathering at 6:00 p.m., and presentations start at 7:00 p.m.

Where: The Backyard Stage at the Amphitheatre.  There will be free parking in the Amp lot.
