The St. Augustine Art Association and the St. Johns Cultural Council host Plein Air in the Park on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lakeside Park.

This free event invites artists to paint en plein air in the park. This practice, a French term meaning "in the open air," involves artists painting outdoors directly from the landscape. Attendees can enjoy live music and local food vendors while watching artists create their work. The event will also feature the unveiling of a new sculpture.

Admission: Free (artists must register)

When: Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Where: Lakeside Park is located at St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080.

About STAAA: St. Augustine Art Association serves as a central hub for art exhibitions, education, and community involvement, committed to fostering artistic excellence and honoring the rich cultural heritage of St. Johns County.

For Artists: Artists can participate for free, but they must register online and have their painting surfaces stamped before they begin. Works completed during the event are eligible for submission to the Historic Impressions on a Modern Canvas exhibit, which will be on display at the County Administrative Building Rotunda from October 9, 2025, to January 5, 2026.
