STAAA: Historic Impressions on a Modern Canvas

The St. Augustine Art Association presents the Historic Impressions on a Modern Canvas, running from Friday, October 9, 2025, through Sunday, January 12, 2026, with gallery hours from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

This exhibit, opening during the First Friday Art Walk, showcases the artistry of plein air painting. This practice, a French term meaning "in the open air," involves artists painting outdoors directly from the landscape. The collection features works from this year's Plein Air Paint Out by contemporary artists who carry on the legacy of the Impressionists, capturing the fleeting effects of natural light, the shifting of clouds, and the subtle hues of the world around us.

When: The exhibit opens during the First Friday Art Walk on Friday,  October 9, 2025, and remains on display through Sunday, January 12, 2026. Gallery hours are 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. The gallery is closed on Mondays.
