St. Johns County Parks and Recreation hosts Shark Tooth Exploration events on Wednesday, June 28, Thursday, June 29, Wednesday, July 12, and Friday, July 14, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Mussallem Beachfront Park.

With changes to currents and erosion from the ocean, nature carries hidden treasures to shore. The Shark Tooth Exploration events teach guests about different types of shark teeth from the past and the present and how to find them.

This family-friendly event is free and can be reserved by visiting here.

There will also be a Shark Tooth Exploration event on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Nease Beachfront Park. For more information, please visit here.

Named after Abraham S. Mussallem, this 8.5-acre park is known for its conservation efforts for green, leatherback, and loggerhead turtles.
