Tale Tellers of St. Augustine: You Might as Well Laugh

Two members of the Tale Tellers of St. Augustine share their funny stories on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Unitarian-Universal Fellowship on Anastasia Island.
Kathy Duffy will make sure you learn that decorating magazines can be dangerous to your health and marriage. She's learned from experience and turned the trials and tribulations of home decór into tales to tickle your funny bone. Also, someone in her family may have tried to sell a younger sibling. These are just two of the stories Duffy plans on telling at the January event.
She will be joined by Chip Kirkpatrick, who has had "interesting" experiences with a cockatiel and who may have been attacked by an African lion. If he can make a lion attack funny, his other tales are sure to have you laughing out loud. That's the point: life is often a challenge, so you might as well laugh.
The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine was formed in 1993 by storytelling enthusiasts. Their mission is to pass on and enhance the art of storytelling. With more than 30 members, this group produces several showcases a year, seeking to revive storytelling as an art form and social means of communication.
Admission: $15.00 plus fees. Purchase tickets online or at the door.
