The Peña-Peck House and the Limelight Theatre have collaborated to create and present A Treasury of Voices: A Living History Experience" on Saturdays at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. from March 21 through May 2, 2026. This event is one of several commemorating America 250, by focusing on the people and events in St. Augustine who helped shape our nation's history.
Built in 1750 of native coquina for the Royal Spanish Treasurer, Juan Estevan de Peña, the building now known as the Peña-Peck House was home to two British-period governors, John Moultrie and Patrick Tonyn. Tonyn continued to conduct official business here after the Revolutionary War until 1785, making the Peña-Peck House the last official seat of the British government in North America, south of Canada.
During A Treasury of Voices, professional actors from the Limelight Theatre are stationed in several rooms throughout the house, portraying the Spanish, British, and American former residents. In character, each actor shares the story of their respective historical figure. Together, these five characters convey much of the history of St. Augustine, Florida, and the land that became the United States through turbulent and exciting times.
Admission: $22.00 for adults 17 and older, and $12.00 for children 16 and younger. Purchase tickets online in advance.
When: Saturdays, from March 21 through May 2. There are two shows each day, at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
