The St. Augustine Amphitheatre presents the iconic Southern rock band Widespread Panic in a special concert event that will take place over three days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 2, 3, and 4, 2019. All three concerts are participating in the "feeding people through music" food drive that the group has been hosting since 1999. This endeavor has raised over $129,786 in funds and provided more than 22,000 pounds of food for communities across the country.

Known for their grassroots music influenced by artists like Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic weaves jazz and blues textures into their music, but always with a definitive Southern sound. They became popular in the festival circuit, having played at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Outside Lands Music Festival, Jazz Aspen and Vegoose. The band consists of John Bell, John "JoJo" Hermann, Todd Nance, Domingo S. Ortiz, Dave Schools, and Jimmy Herring.

Over the 30 years of their career, Widespread Panic has focused on improvisation, always exploring new sounds. They have released twelve studio albums and continue to perform to sold-out crowds at venues worldwide, including at major American festivals.

Concert goers are encouraged to bring canned goods and monetary donations for the "feeding people through music food drive" at all three concerts. Please visit here or call (904) 209-0367 for more information.
