EMMA Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
This Concert
On April 2, EMMA presents The Dye-nettes, two Northeast Florida singers and friends, Margie Nelson and Lorri Gill. During this episode of the Words and Music series, Nelson and Gill sing iconic songs from the 50s and 60s, when the world was changing, and girl groups were singing harmonies about romance, love lost, and being a teenager. Gill and Nelson both enjoy performing music of the 50s and 60s, particularly music from popular girl groups of that era, such as The Ronettes, The Supremes, and The Shangri-Las.
Both Gill and Nelson share the stories of their music careers, where they've traveled, and where you can hear them now.
