Igor and Red Elvises
Igor and Red Elvises is a high-energy, upbeat band ready to knock your socks off at every show.
Igor Yuzov was born in Germany, raised in Ukraine, and studied in Russia. Igor grew up in Soviet Russia, where folk music was the norm and rock was illegal, and in a rebellious streak he sought out the forbidden music. As soon as it was possible, Igor left Russia and brought his "folk n' roll" music with him to the United States.
In 1995, Igor had a peculiar dream where Elvis Presley came to tell him to play rock and roll, and so he and his Russian bandmates became Igor and Red Elvises. They performed on the streets of Santa Monica, California, growing in popularity until the city of Santa Monica had them discontinue their street performances. Ever since then, they have been touring around the United States and the world while taking breaks to record new music and participate in new projects.
