Local hard rock group playing the Florida circuit and beyond.

VERSVTILE (pronounced ver-suh-tile) is a hard rock band specializing in covers of top hits. Formerly known as Alta Loma, this four-piece frequents St. Augustine venues like No Name Bar and Colonial Oak Music Park.

Talented Cover Band

VERSVTILE is well-loved in town for their tributes to popular rock and country bands from the '80s, '90s, and 2000s. If you’ve ever found yourself wandering by moonlight along St. Augustine’s bayfront or the Castillo de San Marcos lawn, you’ve probably heard VERSVTILE playing at No Name Bar.

Their lead singer, Hunter Hawkins, is known for his powerful (and scarily accurate) vocals. Whether they’re covering Aerosmith, Guns n’ Roses, or even Green Day, Hunter’s voice is up to the challenge.

Aaron K. Grove is VERSVTILE’s guitarist, dispensing hot licks both familiar and original. Along with frontman Hunter, Aaron is also a composer and lyricist of the band’s original songs. Local drummer John Oden is the “rhythmic backbone” for VERSVTILE. And last but certainly not least, the bombastic bassist, Alec Stephens—who not only brings that crunchy bass tone we all know and love, but true rock star entertainment, as well.

Original Songs

Along with being known for their covers, VERSVTILE also releases original music.

Their single, “GREY” is a ripping rock ballad that puts each band member’s talents on full display. Featuring moody lyrics and a huge sound interspersed with catchy interludes, “GREY” takes inspiration from the epic artists that VERSVTILE covers.
