Terror Management Band — Alternative (Noise) Rock

Terror Management Band

Local alternative rock band fuses noise rock with southern gothic themes.

Terror Management Band is a daring amalgamation of noise rock and southern gothic tropes. Their lyrics explore themes popularized by writers such as William Faulkner and Cormac McCarthy, including the decay of society, existentialism, paranoia, and the depth of the human psyche. Mixed with the visceral intensity of noise rock, these explorations of the darker sides of American life create an alluring dichotomy of music and chaos.

Just as Grateful Dead musicians formed other projects that primarily played Grateful Dead songs, local musician, Joe Schauer, has at least two Dead-focused bands in addition to Not Quite Dead. (Don't worry. Not Quite Dead still plays whenever possible.)

Ramona the Duo

This dynamic singer and jazz and Latin guitarist perform a wide range of songs.

The dynamic team of Ramona Quimby and Alberto Cebollero perform together as a duo, presenting song arrangements that suit his extraordinary proficiency on the guitar and her powerful vocals.

Their duo performances offer R&B, jazz, and Latin numbers with the same intensity and energy found in shows featuring the entire Ramona the Band. As a duo, their energy is barely contained, and the flow from vocals to lead guitar and improvisation is seamless.
