St. Johns County Parks and Recreation hosts Shark Tooth Exploration events on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Nease Beachfront Park.

With changes to currents and erosion from the ocean, nature carries hidden treasures to shore. The Shark Tooth Exploration events teach guests about different types of shark teeth from the past and the present and how to find them.

St. Johns County Parks and Recreation hosts two Shark Tooth Exploration walks on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Mussallem Beachfront Park from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. and 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center welcomes Marcus Click on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Exemplary military veteran and saxophonist Marcus Click releases unforgettable music inspired by his triumphs and realizations.

Listening to original and expressive musicians such as Kirk Whalum and George Howard, Click's desire to enter the jazz arena grew. His mellow and sophisticated style caught the attention of Rebbie Jackson, Janet Jackson's sister, and musicians such as Nelson Rangell and Grammy Award Nominee Mel Holder.

The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center welcomes the public to The Mahoganee Xperience on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.

A distinguished artist with 30 years of experience, Mahoganee is a Gullah Geechee singer, songwriter, and poet. She creates a fusion of blues, hip-hop, African, and Caribbean-inspired music.

Mahoganee's soft and soulful voice tells stories of acceptance, pride, love, strength, and heritage. With a strong fanbase and touring from coast to coast to perform for thousands in festivals and events, Mahoganee is a force in the music industry.

On Thursday, June 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center invites members of the public to view a screening of John Capouya’s lecture “Respect: Soul Music and the Civil Rights Movement.” Author of Florida Soul, Capouya was a journalism professor at University of Tampa and has long studied Florida's history. During this event, visitors get the opportunity to view a recording of his lecture, which discusses how musicians in the 1960s and 1970s assisted the activists of the Civil Rights Movement.
