Located a mile north of the St. Augustine Inlet on A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway, Nease Beachfront Park is a beautiful example of a thriving saltwater marsh habitat on the Atlantic coast. It is currently being developed as a Florida Community Trust project.
The park also contains the former residence of local conservationist Allen Nease, who was a pioneer of Florida's reforestation and preservation efforts in the mid-20th century. The Nease House reflects his professional background in forestry, with heart pine wood floors, 12-inch bald cypress wall planking, and solid bald cypress ceiling beams.
Nease Beachfront Park is located at 3171 Coastal Highway in St. Augustine FL 32084.
