Vilano Beach Main Street invites visitors and locals to their Holiday Social on Wednesday, December 21, at 4:00 p.m.

Mrs. Sunshine Santa Clause will host the event, featuring musician Katherine Archter and Tale Tellers Debra Weller, Natalie Betrami, Chris Kastle, Kathy Kniery, and Kathey Duffy.

Three Main Street restaurants will provide the refreshments: Doggin It at Magic Beach, Vilano Diner at HOliday Inn Express, and Surfside Kitchen at Publix.

Various tale-tellers and musical performers will relate humerous and poignant stories and songs of the season.

Tom Edwards, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, is drawn to songs that tell a story.

In addition to writing songs and performing, Tom Edwards plays guitar, banjo, mandoline, harmonica, and bass. He performs as a solo act, and with the band he co-founded, "Gnarley Fingers." 

Tom writes songs that are poignant and whimsical, and that tell a story or paint a picture of a person or event. He calls them "story songs." He moves back and forth between homes in Georiga and Jacksonville, and frequently writes about the people, places, and events in both states.

St. Augustine's first plant-based food tour, Food Tour V has food for every taste. On this tour, visitors sample plant-based cuisines from six local St. Augustine restaurants. Guests don’t have to be vegan to participate in the tour even through no animal products are in the sample courses.

The tour is a half mile walk and spans three to four hours to give tasters the opportunity to digest both savory and sweet dishes.

Unkl Ray Nutter has developed a full percussive sound on the washboard and provides the rhythm section for the Dewey Via Band,  amazing St. Augustine listeners with his expertise.  Whether it called a washboard, a scrub-board or a frottoir, the personalized washboard that Unkl Ray plays is a musical instrument unique among others.
