Joshua "Tennessee" Worthy

A Tennessee singer with a rock/country sound, covering some of the greats.

Originally from Sweetwater, Tennessee, Joshua Worthy (AKA "Tennessee") says of his hometown, "We had a Walmart and one red light." Like many in the arts, Tennessee first played music for his own enjoyment and growth. After a while, he wondered whether there was more to life beyond Sweetwater and whether that "more" would allow him to make music for a living.

He headed south, Jacksonville was too big, but St. Augustine felt like a new home. (Albeit one with many red lights and more traffic than Sweetwater.)

Carpetbaggers

This group of solo and session musicians have a lot of fun sharing their music.

The Carpetbaggers, who all moved here from elsewhere in the country, appropriated that name when a few local musicians at gigs jokingly accused them of being carpetbaggers. David Watt Besley (Georgia), Tony Scozzaro (New York), Sue Seymour Westcott (Georgia, Hawaii, and Virginia), and Frankie Urzetta (New York) took the mildly pejorative label and promptly named their band.
