The Committee Lite — Trey Brewer and JB Miller

This duo has as much fun performing their wide range of numbers as the audience does listening to them.

Guitarist and vocalist Trey Brewer is instrumental in a number of acts here in St. Augustine, all of whom have Trey as the common denominator.

The duo act, often called "Committee Lite" and also known simply as Brewer and Miller, consists of Trey and vocalist and guitarist J.B. Miller, who also performs with Trey in the groups Committee and Amerockana.

As Brewer and Miller, "Committee Lite" can be frequently found in venues where folks love to listen to a wide variety of music, played well and with joy by two good friends.

God's City Duo

While they each perform in rock bands, the members of this duo enjoy singing the quieter numbers in St. Augustine Venues.

Lin Doak (aka Little Ozzy) and his stepson Johnny Lawrence frequently perform around St. Augustine as God's City Duo.

Lin and Johnny both sing and play the guitar, while Johnny is known as much for his lead guitar and strong solos. Both perform nationally in the Little Ozzy group, a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Johnny also writes music and fronts his band, Cradle.

As God's City Duo, they perform contemporary hits and classic rock — with a bit of a softer, gentler version of some of their favorite songs by Ozzy Osbourne.

The four members of Mudtown performing on a stage with a colorful grafitti backdrop

Mudtown

Add a bit of folk and bluegrass, plus a lot of punk and you get Mudtown.

Mudtown, based on Jacksonville, blends elements of rock and bluegrass (hillbilly) and tosses in punk to create a beat-driven sound.

They perform in Northeast Florida, Carolina, and beyond -- wherever the audience wants to stomp and hoot. Their working-class music includes elements of folk, bluegrass, and hillbilly overlaid with punk for an unpolished sound that conveys sorrow, hard work, effort, and the right to party.

In the beginning, there was Stacey Bennet and she hooked up with Rick Drice as a folk duo. As bands will do, it morphed over the years into another life form as an indie folk-pop sound.

You don't have to sail to the Caribbean to find pirates. Back in the 1500s when St. Augustine was a key port town in the New World, it was continually a target for buccaneers in search of riches to plunder and townspeople to torment. Robert Searle, Francis Drake — pirates and privateers have both played a huge part in the history of the Old City.
