The Karpeles Manuscript Library, a family-owned non-profit, has museums all over the country, preserving historical documents about literature, political history, science, music, art, and exploration. Founded by David and Marsha Karpeles in 1983, the mission remains the same—to promote history, learning, literacy, and to inspire curiosity. Reproductions are also found in mobile exhibits shared through various libraries, schools, and private businesses.
Situated in Historic Downtown, this location presents a walk-in museum and displays collections of historic materials, with additional manuscripts, treaties, drawings, maps, letters, and musical compositions for the public. Exhibits rotate throughout the year, and educational programs teach you about who and what shaped our past.
Entry is free for visitors and locals. The Karpeles Family welcomes donations, volunteers, and sponsors.
