Join a local photographer/naturalist in this three-class workshop to learn how to capture stunning nature shots with your digital camera.

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department offers a free Nature Photography course with three classes on successive Thursdays: Aug. 26, Sept. 2, and Sept. 9, 2021. A local photographer will lead these hands-on classes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Nease Beachfront Park in Vilano Beach.

The workshop is designed to teach participants how to make the most of their digital cameras, with tips on exposure, focus and composition. Students should bring their own camera equipment and must be at least 12 years of age. As with any outdoor activity this time of year, participants are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and wear comfortable shoes.

Admission: $25. Registration is required. Participants should plan to attend all three classes.
