The St. Augustine Lighthouse after dark explores the history and the tales of ghosts as guests tour armed only with a glowstick.

  • After dark, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the St. Augustine Lighthouse opens for a special history and ghost tour. Warning, in addition to spooky these tours are popular, and visitors are strongly encouraged to book the tour as they plan their trip, prior to coming to town.

    This is the only tour that welcomes visitors into the lighthouse grounds at night, and will include a climb to the top. Along the way, the guide will share the history of the Lighthouse and grounds, and relate true tales of ghostly presence.

    Admission: $25.00 for all adults, including seniors. $20.00 for children age 7 to 12. Children must be 7 or over and at least 44 inches tall. They must climb the Lighthouse on their own.

    When: After dark, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. During the winter they start at 7:30 p.m., while in the summer they start at 8:30. This is a 90-minute to 2-hour tour. Guests are requested to arrive 15 minutes in advance of the start.
