Garden Club Flower Show and Bonsai Exhibit
Southeast Branch SJC Library
To celebrate their 100th anniversary, the Garden Club of St. Augustine presents a Flower Show and Bonsai Exhibit on Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, 2026. You can view the floral creations at no charge on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This flower show, titled "A Century of Flowers," is held to the standards of the National Garden Club and features only fresh plants in their natural state, grown by the exhibitor. There are several categories, or "sections," for judging, with first, second, and third place prizes awarded to one entry in each section. One or more honorable mentions may be awarded in each section. In addition, attendees may vote for the "People's Choice" Award in several categories. Garden club members also present a non-judged bonsai exhibit. To learn more about the flower show and the garden club, visit their website.
The Garden Club of St. Augustine was founded in 1926 and has grown into an active organization of more than 200 members committed to educating the public about plants and gardening techniques and to protecting the area's natural resources. The club members undertake several hands-on projects each year and present free and ticketed educational opportunities, a plant sale, and their popular Christmas Tour of Homes each December.
