Deuterman Productions presents the Peruvian band, Los Mirlos, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Colonial Oak Music Park.
This group promotes the culture and music of the Peruvian Amazon and performs unique, catchy, danceable music with intricate rhythms and outstanding musicianship. Their genre is psychedelic Amazonian Cumbia, a sound they pioneered in the 70s. They hold the distinction of being the first Peruvian group to perform at Coachella.
The band Los Mirlos (Spanish for Blackbirds) has performed for more than 50 years, and the musicians are considered legends in South America for their performances and for their consistent promotion of Amazonian cumbia music. In addition to Coachella, the band performed at Lincoln Center and at the Miami Beach Bandshell in 2025.
The band has two guitarists, one bass player, two drummers, and two percussionists. Several of them contribute to the vocals.
