The St. Augustine Amphitheatre brings back the popular Lost Skills Workshop series with workshops scheduled October 17 – 21, 2016. This series will feature hands-on, community-based workshops focusing on cooking, health, and herbalism.

The concept behind the Lost Skills Workshop series is to provide skill-sharing sessions on techniques and traditions that have been used throughout the ages, all taught by local experts in their respective fields. With this series on cooking and health, the topics will range from how to transform simple ingredients to learning about ancient grains and sourdough.

Individual workshops are $36.00 per person per class, which includes the cost of materials. Classes (see schedule below) will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Catering Room at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged, as the workshops frequently sell out well in advance.

On Friday, October 21, from 6 to 10 p.m., the Amphitheatre will host the Lost Skills Soirée & Marketplace, where the skills that were covered earlier in the week will be showcased with vendors and local businesses providing workshop-related wares and ingredients. Everyone is invited to attend the free Soirée & Marketplace, whether or not they were able to participate in any particular workshop. Workshop attendees and guests will share their experiences, while enjoying live music, local and hand-crafted food, and beverages from the St. Augustine Distillery.

Admission: Each workshop is $36.00 per person per class. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged, as the workshops do sell out. The Lost Skills Soirée & Marketplace is free.

When: Each workshop is from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning on Monday October 17, and finishing with the Lost Skills Soirée & Marketplace from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016. See workshop schedule below. Visit here to purchase tickets.
