"Roots" is a show at Amiro Art & Found Gallery on Avile Street in St. Augustine. The show will feature a guest artist from New Orleans, Matteo Neivert. The artistic display explores elements of nature, including animals, plants, evolution, and the Earth.

Neivert is a self-described "magical realist," inspired by the strength and fragility of nature. His paintings in "Roots" range from the serene—a series of haunting landscapes of icebergs adrift in the ocean at dusk—to the whimsical, with a study of exotic seashells skimming the sky. Matteo Neivert is also the art director at Maloney Productions and an adjunct assistant professor at Tulane University. His paintings have been exhibited at the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco, I-20 Gallery in New York City, and the Alexander Brest Museum and Gallery in Jacksonville, Fla.

"Roots" by Matteo Neivert will be on display during First Friday Art Walk. Light refreshments will be served to guests.
