Below are the details from the 2019 event:
Pink Up the Pace 5K Walk/Run is an annual event held to help raise money for breast cancer awareness. This is the largest 5K in St. Augustine. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, in front of the Visitors Information Center and goes around the historic district.
Pink Up the Pace's mission is to have a positive impact on those who have been affected by breast cancer in St. Augustine and surrounding areas. This event raises money to assist in early detection and to help raise awareness about the importance for early detection. Several community organizations participate and sponsor this event. This year, The St. Augustine Swashbucklers will be manning a water station for the runners as they pass the Pirate Museum Courtyard. All runners can visit the Museum for free later in the day by showing their racing bibs.
A race Expo will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at First Coast Technical College (2980 Collins Ave, St. Augustine FL 32084). Community vendors will host booths at the Expo, sharing information, raffling prizes, and giving out gifts to support Pink Up the Pace. Participants can pick up their registration packets here as well.
