As part of St. Augustine's 450th and Florida's 500th anniversary celebration the Historic Florida Militia will present the Ponce de Leon Celebration, La Fiesta de la Florida today including an official re-enactment and ceremony honoring Ponce de Leon at his statue east of the Plaza. There will be Latin food, historic military demonstrations, folkloric dancers and entertainment throughout the Saint George St. area ending at 10:00 p.m. The entertainment schedule: 9:00-11:45 a.m. - Re-enactment of the Landing and ceremony at the Ponce de Leon statue; 12:00-4:45 p.m. - Folklore dancers, Don Juan Ponce de Leon re-enactors and Miss Ponce de Leon in the Plaza; 12:00-6:00 p.m. - Re-enactors at Arrivas House on Saint George St.; 12:00-8:00 p.m. - Pirate Fiesta at Ribera House on Saint George St.; 12:00-10:00 p.m. "Flamenco Taste" includes re-enactors and Hispanic folklore dancers at City Gate, north of Saint George St.; 4:00-8:00 p.m. - Re-enactors, Miss Ponce de Leon and Hispanic folklore dancers in the Spanish Gardens on Saint George St., across from Columbia Restaurant; 6:00-9:00 p.m. - Saint George Players and The Bilge Rats at the Spanish Bakery, 42 1/2 Saint George St.
