Shine a Light 5K for Epic-Cure

Shine a Light 5K takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. This race is a charitable event benefiting Epic-Cure, Inc., an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in the community through sustainable practices and providing nutritious food.

The 3.1-mile course takes runners through Anastasia State Park and beautiful surrounding neighborhoods. The roads are shaded by hammocks, offering a picturesque run through some of St. Johns County's most beautiful terrain. The race begins at Anastasia Church, proceeds with turns and hills through the park, and then winds through local neighborhoods. The final stretch brings runners back along Old Beach Road to the finish line at Anastasia Church.

Participants have access to indoor facilities, and ample parking is available for everyone. Your race entry includes a chip-timed event, t-shirt and goody bag, and finisher medal. First place overall and masters winners will also receive a bag of Epic-Cure swag. Top three age group award winners receive place-specific medals.

Event Information

Registration: The 5K Run/Walk is $40.00. For the Virtual 5K, it's $35.00 if you pick up your packet in person, or $45.00 if you have your packet shipped. If you'd like to support the cause without running, the 0.0K option is $22.00 for in-person shirt and packet pickup, or $32.00 to have your t-shirt mailed to you.
