Shine a Light 5K for Epic-Cure

Shine a Light 5K takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. The race starts and ends at the Anastasia Baptist Church, and the 3.1-mile course takes runners through Anastasia State Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. The roads are shaded by hammocks, offering a picturesque run through some of St. Johns County's most beautiful terrain.

At the church, runners and walkers have access to indoor facilities, and ample parking is available for everyone. Walkers and those pushing strollers are welcome. The organizers request that strollers start in the back.

Your race entry includes a chip-timed event, t-shirt, and finisher medal. First-place overall and masters winners will also receive a bag of Epic-Cure swag. The top three finishers in their age group receive place-specific medals.

Beneficiary

This charitable event benefits Epic-Cure, Inc., an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in the community through sustainable practices and nutritious food.

Event Details

Registration:  Make reservations here, beginning April 24, 2026

• $40.00 for the 5K run/walk
• $35.00 for the Virtual 5K when you pick up your packet. ($45.00 if you need it mailed.)
• $22.00 for 0.0K and pick up a t-shirt and packet. ($32.00 if you need it mailed.)

When: Saturday, August 17, 2026. The race starts at 8:00 a.m., and the award ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m.
