Sing Out Loud: Jejune & Pohgoh at Sarbez

On Saturday, September 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., the Sing Out Loud Music Festival and Sarbez present the return of two revered bands from the 1990s, Jejune and Pohgoh. This free event starts at 8:00 p.m., and the doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Jejune

Formed at Berklee College of Music in 1996, the trio moved to San Diego and became a hit in the emo and dream-pop scenes. The original trio, Arabella Harrison on bass guitar and vocals, Joe Guevara on guitar and vocals, and Chris Vanacore on drums, were joined in San Diego by guitarist and drummer Mark Murino. Jejune made two albums before breaking up in 2000: Junk and This Afternoon Malady. These albums have long been shared and collected, and a new generation has discovered Jejune. 

The original trio has reunited, and this Sing Out Loud performance is the first time they've performed in Florida in almost 30 years.

Pohgoh

From Tampa, Florida, Pohgoh formed in 1994 and played extensively as part of the indie and emo underground scene in the mid-'90s. They released their first album in 1997, In Memory of Bab, shortly before breaking up. To the delight of their audience, the band regrouped in 2106 and has since released two albums: Secret Club in 2018, and du and ich in 2022. Susie Ulrey plays guitar and sings vocals, Matt Slate plays guitar, Brian Roberts plays bass, and Keith Ulrey plays drums.
