The St. Augustine Art Association presents the Soul Collective art exhibit beginning on Friday, December 1, 2023, and running until Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gallery is also available at any time throughout the month of December for online viewing.

Soul Collective, a talented ensemble of Black artists in St. Augustine, formed after a collaborative effort to assist St, Johns County art educators. The group comprising Brandon Santiago, Alexter Albury, Gerald Branch, and Lenny Foster, will present four to five pieces each. This exhibit showcases each artist's individual style while celebrating their artistic journeys in St. Augustine and the diverse range of talent in the area.

Artist Profiles:

  • Alexter Albury (Realism): Albury captures deep emotions through his realism portraits, often inspired by the vivid imagery he experiences during his dreams.
  • Brandon Santiago (Abstract): Influenced by jazz and rap, Santiago uses colors, shapes, and textures to create abstract expressions.
  • Gerald Branch (Mixed-Media): Branch combines mediums and incorporates critical thinking into his art to depict his journey as an African American man and educator.
  • Lenny Foster (Fine Art Photography): Documenting the many facets of Black history and experience, Foster's fine art photography offers reflections on the evolution of African American life.

All of Lenny Foster's artwork, at this event, is available for purchase and proceeds benefit the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County and the St. Francis House
